The Strategic Territory Director will serve as the primary local point of contact, coordinating management and engineering team visits, and bridging end-user requirements with future product roadmaps. It's a dynamic blend of high-level business development, customer engagement, mentoring, and cross-functional leadership within the defense and security technology sector, requiring 70-75% travel.
Must Have
- Reside in Colombia or Chile
- Native or Advanced fluency in English and Spanish
- Background in Military/Defense industry sales or Military background with technical exposure
- Ability to oversee the entire sales lifecycle
- Proven experience in recruiting, vetting, and managing sales partners
- Strong aptitude in tactical communications, RF networking, or MANET ecosystems
- Ability to monitor regional trends, procurement cycles, and competitor activity
- Ensure local partners maintain current product knowledge and functional demonstration kits
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
- Expertise in tracking performance metrics and maintaining accurate CRM data

- Post-secondary education or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Communications, or a related field
- Previous program management experience in high-performance sales environments or supervisory experience
- Deep understanding of the MANET competitive landscape and Latin American defense customer mission needs

Job Description
This position requires 70%-75% of travel. The candidate must reside in Santiago or Bogotá.
The Strategic Territory Director reports to the Senior Director of International Sales and Business Development. In this high-impact, you will lead and execute the sales strategy for LATAM, holding direct responsibility for territory development and revenue generation.
You will serve as the primary local point of contact, coordinating visits from management and engineering teams while acting as a bridge between end-user requirements and future product roadmaps. This position is a dynamic blend of high-level business development, customer engagement, mentoring, and cross-functional leadership within the defense and security technology sector.
Basic Requirements
Job Requirements
- Location & Language: Must be based in Colombia or Chile. Native or Advanced fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
- Professional Background: Mandatory background in Military/Defense industry sales or a Military background with technical exposure.
- Sales Execution: Ability to oversee the entire sales lifecycle—from lead generation and qualification to proposal development, complex negotiation, and closing.
- Channel Management: Proven experience in recruiting, vetting, and managing sales partners (strategic, tactical, or opportunistic), ensuring they have direct access to core customer bases (MoD, SOF, Police).
- Technical & Market Intelligence: Strong aptitude in tactical communications, RF networking, or MANET ecosystems. Ability to monitor regional trends, procurement cycles, and competitor activity to influence customer project requirements.
- Partner Enablement: Responsibility for ensuring local partners maintain current product knowledge and fully functional demonstration kits.
- Operational Travel: Ability to travel up to 75% of the time to maintain customer relationships, attend trade shows, and perform field demonstrations.
- Reporting: Expertise in tracking performance metrics and maintaining accurate CRM data for pipeline management and forecasting.
Preferred Requirements
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Portuguese is highly desirable.
- Education: Post-secondary education or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Communications, or a related field.
- Leadership Experience: Previous program management experience in high-performance sales environments or supervisory experience (initial duty may include one staff member).
- Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the MANET competitive landscape and the specific mission needs of Latin American defense customers.
- Marketing & Representation: Experience planning and executing local marketing activities, including speaking engagements and conference participation.
