Job Summary

The Technical Sales Officer is responsible for achieving sales targets and forecast accuracy, driving demand generation activities like Field Meetings, Field Days, and Demos to liquidate inventory and grow revenue. This role involves managing a team of Field Officers, channel management including target setting and business reviews, and staying updated on market and competitor activities. The officer will also develop new product introductions, execute campaigns, manage resources, expand geographical reach, handle stakeholder relationships, track inventory, manage customer complaints, and build relationships with key regional influencers, ensuring timely collections.

Must Have

  • Delivery of budget with monthly phasing
  • Month-on-month forecast delivery by maintaining forecast accuracy above 80%
  • Demand generation activities like FM, FD, and Demo
  • Drive revenue growth from the sales territory
  • Manage the team of Field officers (training, action planning, coaching)
  • Channel management (target setting, business review, engaging channels, onboarding new BSAs)
  • Regular update on market outlook and competition activities
  • Developing NPI through demonstration and showcasing to growers, channel partners, and arhties
  • Execution of campaign activities and sales policies
  • Resource allocation in area of work (field officer placement, channel establishment)
  • Geographical expansion through field activities and channel expansion
  • Stakeholder management (Eis, Arhthies, sub dealers, value chain)
  • Tracking and monitoring of channel inventory/liquidation/POG
  • Manage/handle customer complaints in business area
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key regional influencers
  • Ensure timely placement and collections for targeted Days' Sales Outstanding level
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in agriculture (preferably plant breeding, horticulture Agronomy, Entomology, Soil Sciences, Plant pathology and Extension)
  • Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience

  • Channel management, target setting, monthly business review meeting, engage and motivating channels and onboard new in vacant BSAs
  • Regular update on market outlook, competition activities in his area
  • Developing NPI through demonstration and strong showcasing to growers, channel partners, and arhties (Middleman)
  • Execution of campaign activities and sales policies
  • Resource allocation in his area of work, placement of field officer, establishment of channel etc.
  • Geographical expansion through field activities and channel expansion
  • Stakeholder management, Eis, Arhthies, sub dealers, value chain etc.
  • Tracking and monitoring of channel inventory/ liquidation/ POG.
  • Manage/ handle customers complaints in his business area
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key regional influencers (Lead grower, Market yard vendor, Value Chain Partners, Institutions/Govt officials).
  • Work with the team and ensure timely placement and ensure timely collections for targeted Days' Sales Outstanding level.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in agriculture preferably plant breeding , horticulture Agronomy, Entomology, Soil Sciences, Plant pathology and Extension.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience
