Team Leader - Purchasing

We are seeking a hands-on Purchasing Team Leader to manage day-to-day purchasing and logistics activities and support a small team. This role works closely with suppliers, freight partners, and internal teams to ensure stock availability, cost control, and a high level of internal customer service.

Must Have

• Manage daily purchasing and ordering of stock
• Lead and support the purchasing team, allocating work as needed
• Liaise with suppliers and negotiate pricing, delivery, and terms
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and freight forwarders
• Track inbound shipments and ensure accurate delivery information
• Support sales teams with pricing and ETA enquiries
• Work closely with warehouse and accounts teams to resolve issues
• Identify cost savings and process improvements
• Ensure compliance with WHS and company policies
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a purchasing, supply chain, or logistics role
• Previous team leadership or coordination experience
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Confident communicator with good attention to detail
• Comfortable using purchasing or ERP systems
• Proactive, reliable, and solution focused
