Responsibilities

    • Reporting to the Executive Producer, Internal Communications, you’ll support video and broadcast initiatives and maintain the day-to-day operations of the media operations function at this fast-paced audience measurement, data, and analytics company. Focus will be on the video franchises and programs created, developed and executed by the internal communications team.
    • Project manage, plan, estimate, research, develop, and coordinate the design, production, and implementation of broadcast, video and photography products and offsite video production events to meet client expectations.
    • Support a wide range of internal communications directives and websites with the creation of short form video, graphics and photography according to briefs provided by internal stakeholders. All products must effectively use Nielsen branding and visual identity elements to deliver clear, consistent messages that inform and engage audiences.
    • Plan, shoot, edit and deliver high quality video for use in company wide communications initiatives. Effectively work with the full spectrum of employees to schedule and produce their participation in video projects that feature their voices.
    • Work collaboratively with internal communications team members to maintain smooth workflows, organize assets and deliverables and follow a repeatable template for successful projects.
    • Inspire a culture of optimism, competitiveness and creative excellence among our communications team and agency partners by demonstrating the Nielsen Values daily.

Qualifications

    • You’re the ideal candidate with a strong background in video production. You understand how to manage equipment and find unique solutions to filming within an office setting. You are well-versed in the latest tools and technology required to shoot and edit informational videos featuring both talking heads with supporting visuals and animated explainers with motion graphics. You are a creative, motivated self-starter with incredible attention to detail, a team-focused attitude who executes with a solutions-oriented approach. Experience working in a studio environment and managing talent is preferred. With direction from the Executive Producer, Internal Communications, you’ll work with fellow team members and their respective stakeholders to translate project briefs and ideas into video deliverables. Working within deadlines, you’ll remotely balance daily production functions with occasional shoots in the NY office and at company events.

    • Ideal To Have
    • Bachelor’s Degree (Film, Broadcasting, Communications or related field)
    • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on video production work experience, with roles of demonstrated flexibility and growth.
    • Strong video editing and storytelling skills, with ability to create engaging content in a fast-paced environment.
    • Adobe Creative Suite proficiency. Proficiency with video camera operation, visual lighting techniques, audio recording and on-air talent direction up to and including the executive level.
    • Strong time management and project management skills desired. Must be agile and able to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Google Suite proficiency.

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be $50,000 - $100,000 which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location.  The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs.
