Collaborating closely with our brilliant studio and production teams, you'll ensure a deep understanding of the creative objectives and requirements of each project. Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the creative and studio teams to understand project requirements and develop virtual set designs that align with the overall vision of the video production
• Utilize Unreal Engine to design and build high-quality, realistic virtual sets that enhance the visual aesthetics of our video projects
• Create and integrate virtual assets, textures, lighting, and other elements required to bring the virtual sets to life in Ross Voyager
• Optimize virtual sets for real-time rendering and ensure smooth performance within the given hardware specifications
• Work closely with other designers, animators, and developers to ensure seamless integration of virtual sets and other AR components into the video production pipeline
• Stay updated with the latest Unreal Engine features and techniques, and explore innovative ways to enhance the virtual set design process
• Collaborate with studio team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to virtual set or AR design and implementation
• Maintain project documentation, including design specifications, asset lists, and production workflows.
• Support Creative Leads & Creative Director, Producers and Editors
• Create/design internal and external marketing collateral
• Strive to add value in any task you’re assigned
• Track and update workstream progress in team project management application
• Other duties as required

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years relevant work experience in virtual production, virtual/augmented reality design, or related field
• Proven experience as an Unreal Engine Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your virtual set design skills
• Proficiency in using Unreal Engine for real-time rendering and virtual production
• Solid understanding of lighting, texturing, and shading principles within Unreal Engine
• Expert knowledge of virtual set design best practices and techniques for virtual production
• Familiarity with industry-standard tools and software related to video production and post-production
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical team members with mood boards, style frames and storyboards
• Ability to understand/interpret client expectations
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; must work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to take direction
• Ability to execute independently and work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Creative vision, composition and type layout skills
• Experience working within multiple brand guidelines
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in video production or a related field.
• Experience with Ross Voyager
• Familiarity with other 3D design programs
• Web design, print and creative agency background a plus
• Knowledge of live action production, video and music editing, and basic compositing skills
• Knowledge of motion capture technology and photogrammetry and its integration with Unreal Engine
• Familiarity with scripting and programming languages such as Blueprint or C++
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications
• Knowledge of Adobe Workfront
