Job Summary
As a Vice President in the Colleague Strategic Partner team (HR Business Partner) at American Express, you will lead the development and delivery of colleague strategy for key lines of business in India. This position will report to India HR head.Roles & Responsibilities:- Responsible for providing thought leadership, coaching and feedback, as well as support organisation talent strategy, leadership development and change management.- Leading organizational effectiveness and change management efforts in partnership with country’s top leadership, serving as the expert in how change is led and sustained- Building and leading a talent strategy that drives business performance, nurtures a culture that supports agility, and develops leaders who can lead, manage, and sustain change.- Grow the talent pipeline in critical capability segments to fuel business momentum in the market. Strengthen people leader capabilities through a market development agenda focused on targeted skill development and learning.- Partner with HR counterparts across Centers of Expertise and HR Business Partners to ensure alignment and effective deployment of key initiatives.- Be proactive in the development, engagement, retention, and succession of critical talent.- Understanding and improving the ‘moments that matter’ in the careers of our colleagues.Skills and Qualifications:- A minimum of 15+ years of HR related or organizational consulting experience in a human resources leadership position in a complex business environment- Experience in HR Strategic Partner related disciplines including but not limited to experience and understanding of consulting, coaching, talent recruitment, performance, leadership and change management- Strong people leader, with the ability to lead high performing teams, set the agenda, engage and create “followership” from others- Ability to coach and influence senior leaders & partners helping them challenge the status quo and lead through challenging situations- Ability to navigate the organization locally & globally, working in collaboration with HR teams and business partners across the enterprise- Be able to think strategically, influence using data-backed insights and leverage external perspective- Have a strong risk mindset with the ability to identify issues early, assess impact, and take proactive action.We back you with benefits that support your holistic well-being so you can be and deliver your best.
