Boltz Entertainment, the creators of the upcoming award-winning game Write Warz, is seeking a talented and creative Character Animator and Rigger Intern to join our team in Oviedo, Florida. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an innovative game that celebrates and expands the horizons of narrative gaming.

Role Overview:

The Character Animator and Rigger Intern will be involved in animating and rigging diverse character concepts, creating fluid animations for various game elements, and assisting with UI/UX animations. This role is perfect for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in game development and character animation.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the game development team to create engaging and dynamic character animations.
• Rig characters for animation in Unity, ensuring smooth and realistic movements.
• Develop animations for loading screens, making 2D art come to life.
• Contribute to traditional animation projects, such as anime-style teasers, by making necessary adjustments and improvements.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for character development and game visuals.

Requirements:

• Strong skills in 2D character animation and rigging.
• Experience with storyboarding or creating animatics.
• Proficiency in animation software such as Adobe Animate, Spine, or similar.
• Experience with Unity and setting up rigs for animation.
• Knowledge of UI/UX animation design is a plus.
• Passion for video games and an understanding of game design.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a relevant program such as Animation, Fine Arts, Game Design, or a similar field.
