Team Summary

Do you want to work on thumb-stopping social media content and original campaign creative?  Do you like the idea of working with celebrity athletes from the FIFA, Olympics and Formula 1? AND would you like to do all that for one of the world’s most recognizable brands and our fortune 500 clients?

Introducing Visa Design Studio, an expanding in-house creative agency set up to support Visa’s, clients and partners in the Asia Pacific region, and to drive revenue growth for Visa. You will not only develop exciting creative strategies and campaigns for our clients and partners across the various markets in AP but also create high visibility creative for Visa’s core brand and sponsorships. You will be expected to meet creative service revenue targets as part of your responsibilities.

What a Copywriter and Project Manager does at Visa:

  • Support the Visa Design Studio team by developing and writing clear, engaging, and persuasive copy for various mediums (web, print, social media, etc.).

  • Drive AP Marketing Services revenue growth by effectively executing client projects and briefs through Visa Design Studio.

  • Collaborate with the regional and local marketing teams to understand campaign objectives and develop visually compelling designs that align with client’s and Visa’s brand strategy.

  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial briefing to final delivery.

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.

  • Edit and proofread copy to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with Visa and client’s brand voice.

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform creative strategies.

  • Maintain a content calendar and ensure all deliverables are met on time.

  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines.

  • Provide creative direction and input during brainstorming sessions.

  • Ensure all copy and creative outputs meet the highest quality standards.

  • Collaborate with local freelance copywriters and translators to expand resources and meet other language requirements in Asia Pacific.

Why this is important to Visa

You will report to the Creative team lead for Visa Design Studio. The Visa Design Studio team (part of the Visa AP Marketing organization) is responsible for delivering creative services to Visa’s clients and driving a key marketing service workstream for revenue growth. The team is in its early stages of expansion and the role will be integral in its formation to scale up and elevate creative outcomes.

What you will need

You will need to have a strong passion for creativity and story-telling, as well as a high level of comprehension in brand interpretation. Be solutions-oriented, and able to work independently as well as be a team player. As this is a client facing role, you will need to have strong influencing and project management skills. The successful candidate will need to be able to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment, have a systematic approach and be able to navigate around ambiguity.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a creative capacity in an advertising agency, preferably in an agency with a global network.


Qualifications

  • Degree in Advertising, Marketing, English, or any related field of study.
  • Proven experience as a copywriter and project manager, preferably in a creative or design environment.
  • Good understanding of different social, media channels and new technologies.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy and its implementation through story-telling.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
  • Proactive, organized and systematic with effective time management skills. Comfortable working in a fluid, fast-paced and hands-on environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software or tools and comfortable to build presentation decks.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Applicants must provide a link to portfolio or work samples showcasing copywriting capability across platforms.
  • Ability to write in multiple Asian languages will be a huge plus.

  • Strong internal team and external client stakeholder management with a collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style. Able to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
  • Great presentation skills, including strong oral and written capabilities.
