Job Description

Tesla is seeking a Body Repair Assembly Technician to join its groundbreaking Body Repair Program in Oakleigh, Australia. The role involves assisting technicians in completing structural and cosmetic repairs on Tesla vehicles (Models S, 3, X, & Y), following Tesla's specific repair procedures. Responsibilities include reassembling vehicle panels to as-new condition, testing reassembly for safety and operability, cleaning and polishing vehicles after repairs, and preparing vehicles for customer collection. This is a full-time position ideal for ambitious technicians in the early stages of an apprenticeship in panel beating, painting, or mechanics. Tesla provides full support, training, and guidance. The position is planned to open in Q1 2025.

Must have:

1+ years automotive experience or similar
Excellent communication & teamwork skills
Reliable, innovative, and driven
Clean and valid driver's license
Basic computer literacy
Ability to follow documented procedures

What You’ll Do

Assist Techicians and wider team to complete structural and cosmetic repairs on Tesla Models S, 3, X & Y vehicles in accordance with Tesla specific repair procedures
Reassemble vehicle panels in accordance with documented procedures to as-new condition
Test and evaulate reassembly for safety and operability
Cleaning and polishing vehicles after repairs and preparing vehicles for customer collection
