Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Esports Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product/project management, coupled with extensive experience in the esports and/or game operation. This role will be pivotal in designing and executing esports tournaments and its ecosystem, particularly for Honor of Kings.
Key Responsibilities:
Esports Tournament Management: Lead the design and execution of the Honor of Kings tournament system, overseeing all aspects from planning to delivery and report.
Broadcast Production: Work closely with third-party companies and partners to manage and implement both online and offline production for regional broadcasts.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with regional and global esports teams, as well as regional operations teams, to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the success of esports programs over time.
Event Support: Frequently travel to pilot and/or support regional tournaments, ensuring all aspects run smoothly.
Technical Coordination: Provide technical support for tournaments by collaborating with internal development teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution.
Quality Improvement: Continuously strive to enhance the quality of esports products, optimizing resource allocation for the best returns.
Esports and gaming enthusiast: with a particular passion for MOBA games and specifically, Honor of Kings
Esports Ecosystem Knowledge: A deep understanding of various esports ecosystems, with a particular passion for MOBA games.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Product/Project Management, Marketing, Television, Media, Advertising, or a related field. Equivalent experience in these fields is also acceptable.
Industry Experience: At least 5 years of experience working in the esports or game publishing industry, with a proven track record in managing large-scale esports projects.
Bilingual Proficiency: Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese is must.
Travel Availability: Willingness and ability to travel frequently for tournament support.
Strategic Thinking: Strong autonomous business acumen and strategic thinking abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Organizational Excellence: Impeccable organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities, with an emphasis on handling confidential matters with discretion.
Bonus Qualifications:
Multi-language skill : Besides English and Chinese, any other fluent language skill is welcomed.
Cultural Adaptability: Demonstrated experience working in a multicultural environment, with strong people management skills.
