Riot Games seeks a Facilities Manager to oversee 650K+ sq ft of creative workspaces in Los Angeles. The Workplace Experience Team (WE) at Riot is just that - Rioters' experience in the workplace. We are a diverse group of disciplines focused on how Rioters engage with our workplace. This includes Physical Security for our safety; Facilities Operations for our buildings and maintenance; Food and Events programs for daily engagement; and Occupancy Planning to help us understand how we occupy our world and ways to improve it.

As a Facilities Manager at Riot Games Los Angeles Headquarters (LAX), you will play a critical role in managing and enhancing 650K+ sq ft of physical workspaces that fuel creativity and passion for Rioters. We believe this begins in a well-maintained, thoughtfully designed work environment. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Facilities - Americas and oversees the daily operations of the LAX facility, ensuring its safe, efficient and sparks creativity. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to provide spaces that empower Rioters to deliver their best.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our LAX offices, studios, and other spaces, ensuring all environments support a productive atmosphere for creativity, innovation and collaboration.
  • Manage relationships with external service providers, contractors and vendors, ensuring timely maintenance, cleaning, and repairs. Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure cost efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure that workspaces meet the unique needs of game developers, artists, and engineers. Optimize office layouts to foster collaboration.
  • Collaborate with various departments to provide logistical support for internal events.
  • Lead and develop a team of facilities operations professionals
  • Assist in overseeing multiple small to large scale projects, from creation to completion while working with partners and stakeholders to align around the desired end results
  • Participate in the creation of policies and procedures
  • Ensure all deliverables and deadlines are identified and managed daily to meet expectations of each project.
  • Coordinate with finance, sourcing and other Riot partners to properly engage with vendors and make purchases.
  • Develop specified budget requirements, maintain accountability for budgeted funds and work with management on annual budgeting and forecasting processes. Hold vendors and stakeholders accountable to stay within specified budget parameters
  • Lead regular syncs with vendor partners and hold them accountable for deliverables (KPIs).
  • Partner with leadership and key stakeholders including CRE, Security, EHS, IT and HR to build and sustain a best in class employee experience and workplace environment

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management with an understanding of how to oversee creative office spaces that blend tech needs with collaborative environments.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop internal direct reports as well as manage vendor contractors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of staff as well as internal external partners.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, able to respond quickly and efficiently to issues and anticipate future needs.
  • Familiarity with key building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), facilities management / work order systems and office technology infrastructure.
  • Ability to lead projects such as office expansions or renovations, from initial planning through completion.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in the gaming industry, tech or creative workspace environments.
  • Project Management certifications such as PMP, FMP, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow, Robin and Coupa
  • Understanding sustainability practices in facilities management.
