About the Team

Our 40+ engineering teams are working on designing, creating and running the rich product catalogue across our business areas (e.g. Payments Services, Business Services). We have a long roadmap ahead of us and always have interesting problems to tackle. We trust and empower our engineers to make real technical decisions that affect multiple teams and shape the future of Tide’s Global One Platform. It’s an exceptional opportunity to make a real difference by taking ownership of engineering practices in a rapidly expanding company! 

 

We work in small autonomous teams, grouped under common domains owning the full lifecycle of some microservices in Tide’s service catalogue. Our engineers self-organize, gather together to discuss technical challenges, and set their own guidelines in the different Communities of Practice regardless of where they currently stand in our Growth Framework.

 

About the Role:

As a Web Engineer at Tide, you’ll report directly to the Engineering Manager or Head of Engineering and work in a team of highly skilled Web engineers.

 

As a Web Engineer you:

  • Will be learning and sharing knowledge with our engineers on new things often, as we believe in experimentation, T-shaped engineering and collaborative learning for career growth.
  • Will be working on our new and existing products for our Business Areas. We have an exciting roadmap with brand new features and we will need you to solve interesting problems.
  • Will have the opportunity to make a difference by leveraging your experience connecting with less experienced engineers, collaborating and cheering together.
  • Will join one of our expanding multi-disciplinary agile teams, you will work together with product owners, UI/UX designers, architects, engineers, and other business members to translate requirements into well-engineered solutions.
  • Join our Web and Flutter Community of Practices, and your input on how to improve processes and maintain high quality across the team will be very welcome.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Have 2+ years of experience into web development
  • Have strong knowledge in Semantic HTML, CSS(3) and JavaScript(ES6).
  • Have solid experience in Angular 2+, RxJS,
  • Have experience in State Management (NGRX)
  • Are experienced in using testing tools such as Jest and Cypress or similar is a plus
  • Are passionate about building great products in small, autonomous, agile teams
