Heavy, a leading sports news and information website, is expanding its NFL coverage ahead of the 2024 season.

We're looking to partner with hard-charging, entrepreneurial freelance contributors to write about the most exciting storylines around the NFL and its biggest stars.

Compatible contributors should be able to demonstrate:

• A passion for and deep understanding of the NFL and its 32 teams
• Proven ability to vet, verify and confirm information
• Ability to produce clean and polished copy
• A track record of pro/college sports coverage (football preferred)
• Ability and desire to react rapidly to on-and-off-field breaking news
• Strong multi-tasking and communication skills
• Ability to quickly navigate social media to spot news and find additional information after a story breaks

Work autonomously and remotely. Heavy's editors are available for support but do not make assignments.

Compensation includes a monthly $500 retainer and scales with performance.
