Activate is a technology company known for creating Canada's first full-scale interactive gaming experience.  We are looking to expand our Manufacturing team with the addition of a Shipper and Receiver.  Reporting to the Warehouse Team Lead, this position involves working in a dynamic manufacturing environment with a commitment to rapid prototyping. A successful applicant will be expected to receive and inventory incoming stock, pick and package sales orders, and coordinate outbound shipping. The individual who fills this role will additionally be responsible for certain scheduled inventory management jobs as well as driving a company truck to transport material/product within Winnipeg. This is a full-time, permanent position. The schedule for this position is 9:00 am- 5:00 pm   

 

The Duties and Responsibilities:  

 

Receiving 

 

  • Receive and inventory production stock deliveries 
  • Receive and deliver operations and department stock deliveries 
  • Keep receiving systems up to date with physical deliveries 

 

Picking & Inventory 

 

  • Pick and pack components for part orders and game room packages 
  • Maintain digital manifest of completed shipping picks 
  • Complete weekly consumables inventory checks 
  • Assist Parts Manager with monthly stock take 

 

Shipping 

 

  • Create outbound freight shipment documentation 
  • Manage the quoting process for booking outbound freight shipments 
  • Load outbound freight shipments and provide documentation to shipping carriers
  • Drive a company truck to transport material/product between Activate's warehouses

 

 

The Qualifications:  

 

  • Detail oriented with a critical eye for identifying errors 
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise 
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure 
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40lbs 
  • High School Diploma 
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Forklift operator certified
  • 1-2 years in a related field
