Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Game Designer to drive the creative direction of our games from concept to live operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of game design principles, a knack for creating compelling game mechanics, and a proven track record of enhancing player engagement, retention, and monetization. If you are passionate about designing games that not only entertain but also drive player behavior through data-driven insights, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Drive the game's creative direction throughout its entire lifecycle, from initial concept to live operations.
- Pitch innovative game mechanics designed to enhance player behavior, increasing key metrics such as retention, engagement, and monetization.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement new features and content, ensuring they meet our high quality standards.
- Monitor game health using various dashboards, working closely with the data science team to ensure your data needs are met.
- Gather player insights through playtests and maintain a strong connection with our player base.
- Analyze player data and feedback to continuously improve the product and fine-tune the game economy.
- Create and maintain game economy systems, ensuring they function as intended through live data analysis and variant testing.
- Develop clear and concise game design documentation, including wireframes, flowcharts, and prototypes.
- Support and mentor junior game designers, guiding them in their professional development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in mobile game design.
- Proven experience across all phases of game development, from pre-production to live operations.
- Deep understanding of game balance, economy design, and user behavioral motivations.
- Advocate for excellent UX design and interaction principles.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Extensive knowledge of free-to-play games in the casual, puzzle, or casino mobile genres.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills; ability to creatively solve key problems with minimal guidance.
- Thrives in an agile, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and iterative team environment.
