The Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of AWS & Azure cloud environments. They will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to craft and implement secure cloud solutions. Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain cloud security solutions
Implement cloud data protection measures
Conduct vulnerability scans and security assessments on cloud environments.
Develop and maintain security policies and standards for cloud environments.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure that security is coordinated into the software development lifecycle.
Supervise cloud environments for security incidents and respond to security alerts in a timely manner.
Supervise and analyse security logs and alerts to identify security issues and develop and implement remediation plans
Document & report on AWS infrastructure security posture, providing partners with insights & recommendations
Perform regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
Work with security teams and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Provide mentorship and support to other teams on security standard processes and procedures.
Stay up to date with the latest security trends and technologies in cloud environments.
Perform security review of tools and services around infrastructure and provide guidelines. Requirements and skills
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in cloud security, specifically in AWS & Azure
Good understanding of programming languages like python, shell etc.
Having good knowledge around various clouds like AWS & Azure security services and features, as well as a grasp of security operations and threats
Good grasp over security assessments and vulnerability scans.
Experience with security policy development and implementation.
Solid grasp of networking and network security principles.
Familiarity of regulatory standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
