Dig deep and unearth the fascinating and constantly changing tax ecosystem under the expert stewardship of PwC’s International Tax teams, the world’s leading providers of tax services. Make an impact  by solving problems in the international  corporate  tax space. Closely linked to transfer pricing our multidisciplinary tax teams work side by side, both in Belgium and across borders, to help clients make the changes they need to be transparent and sustainable. 

In order to reinforce our team, we are looking for a Global Tax (Senior) Manager.

Your Impact

As a VAT Compliance Managing Consultant within our team based in Belgium, you will be the primary point of contact for clients, assisting them with their VAT compliance needs and ensuring they meet all regulatory requirements.

You'll make an impact by:

• Advising clients on VAT planning and optimization strategies, processes, and policies to enhance their VAT efficiency and compliance with Belgian and international VAT requirements.
• Leading VAT advisory projects in a structured, critical, and creative way to support our clients' strategic needs.
• Continuously expanding your knowledge around Belgian and international VAT regulations and sharing this expertise with the team.
• Collaborating with other tax colleagues to offer comprehensive advisory solutions to our clients.
• Building your professional network and maintaining current client relationships to identify and collaborate on new business opportunities.
• Leading a client service team and ensuring advisory service delivery according to high-quality standards.
• Actively coaching the VAT advisory team and playing a significant role in the further development of the VAT practice.

You have:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in VAT compliance.

• Experience gained in-house, in a Big-4 or law firm, or with Tax Authorities.

• A Master’s degree in Tax law, Business Engineering, Finance, Economics, or other quantitative discipline. A postgraduate qualification in tax law is an asset.

• A strong interest in business and corporate strategy.

• Strong analytical abilities.

• Interest in working in an international environment.

• Fluent knowledge of English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.

• The ability to take complex concepts and analyses and clearly explain them in written form.

• Attention to detail, the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously, and a willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks.

• The ability to work well in team-based environments and have strong communication skills.

• The ability to take a coaching role for the VAT compliance team and guide younger professionals in their career development.
