Job Description

As a 2D Character Artist at Nexters, you'll be a key contributor to the Hero Wars: Alliance team, creating new heroes and their skins. Responsibilities include developing character concepts, producing high-quality renders in a mid-core style, preparing graphics for 2D animation, and potentially creating mini-comics. You'll define the visual style and character of heroes in the game, working closely with a team of artists. The role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, proportions, stylization, and color theory, along with proficiency in Adobe Photoshop. Experience in character and weapon design is essential.

Must have:

3+ years of game industry experience
High-quality mid-core style renders
Strong anatomy & proportion understanding
Character & weapon design skills
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop

About your role
We want to strengthen the Hero Wars Alliance team with an experienced 2D Character Artist who will create new heroes for our game.We are looking for a colleague who is ready to complement our strong team of artists.You will have many diverse and interesting tasks where you can develop the heroes of our flagship and define their character and visual style.
Only candidates with portfolios will be considered.
What you’ll be doing
Creating character concepts and their skins, and drawing mini-comics
Creating high-quality renders (shapes) in a mid-core stylistic
Preparing graphics for 2D animation
We hope that you
Have at least 3 years of experience in the gaming industry
Can create high-quality renders (shapes) in a midcore style
Have a good understanding of anatomy and can see and understand proportions
Can stylize forms and materials, work with color effectively
Have developed skills in character and weapon design
Have proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
Nice to have
Basic proficiency in 3D tools
