This opportunity is for an Asset Integration Technician to join the Fluence Digital EMEA team.
The role will focus on connecting utility scale BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) solutions and utility scale renewable energy generation assets to the Fluence APM (Asset Performance Management) systems.
Fluence Digital customers use the Fluence Digital Asset Performance Management (APM) platform to monitor their renewable assets (Wind, Solar, Hydro and Battery). This enables customers to get the best performance from their assets ensuring minimal downtime and maximum power generation.
Reporting to the EMEA Sales Engineering Manager the day-to-day activities will consist of, but not be limited to:
Responsible for connecting assets to the Fluence APM:
- Coordinating the collection of data from clients
- Arranging the digital connection of the asset with Fluence IT / Client IT
- Analysing the raw data from the asset
- Mapping the asset data into the Fluence schema (Excel, Python, SQL)
- Validating the data
- Reporting to the EMEA digital team on progress and ETAs.
Problem solving and fault analysis
Bug capture and reporting to development
Fault and analysis capture and reporting with tools like Word or PowerPoint
Supporting the other technical functions in the team
- Data import, may require some manipulation
- Configuration changes to add user, change access
- Asset performance analysis
Client report generation requiring activities such as:
- Data retrieval from databases (SQL) and data exports (e.g. CSV)
- Data processing and manipulation with Python and Excel
- Report generation with tools like Python and Excel
This role would suit a pragmatic, IT literate individual from an engineering or IT background. Experience in the energy sector or renewable energy sector is desirable but not essential.
Must be able to demonstrate logical thought, problem-solving skills and be competent in at least 1 programming language or scripting language preferably Python.
This will be a home-based role with the requirement for travel within the EMEA region for training and team meetings.
Must be able to converse fluently with technical content in Spanish and English, other languages a bonus.
