Job Description

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver at Dungarvin, you will provide direct support, encouragement, and assistance to individuals with disabilities, focusing on empowering them to live independently and comfortably. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living tasks, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and building relationships. You will also attend community activities and transport individuals. The goal is to support their personal growth and ensure their well-being. Must have:
  • Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
  • Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of individuals.
  • Assist with daily living tasks like moving, dressing, and hygiene.
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
  • Build relationships with individuals and teammates.
  • Attend community events and fun activities.
  • Transport individuals to appointments or other activities.
  • Empower individuals with disabilities to live life to the fullest.
  • Document progress, milestones, and action steps.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time shifts available for AM, PM, and NOC. 

Wage:  $16.00/hr & $16.45/hr after 90 days! Apply to find out about our sign-on bonus.

Job Description

A Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities.  The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect. We are seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with disabilities; behavioral or medical complexities in our residential and CIHS programs! 

What You Get to Do: 

  • Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
  • Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, personal hygiene and more.
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
  • Build relationships with persons served and teammates.
  • Attend special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events.
  • Transport persons served to appointments or other activities outside the home.
  • Empower people with disabilities to live life to the fullest.
  • Document progress, milestones, and action steps.
