Job Summary
Proofpoint is a global leader in human- and agent-centric cybersecurity, protecting connections across email, cloud, and collaboration tools. This role, Employee Experience and Engagement Specialist, supports programs that strengthen employee belonging, connection, and community-building. Responsibilities include coordinating corporate events, managing logistics, collaborating on culture and belonging initiatives across global offices, and maintaining internal communications. The specialist will also partner with internal teams to amplify inclusive programming and ensure brand alignment. This position requires strong organizational skills, communication abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on onsite work in Sunnyvale.
Must Have
- Serve as primary contact for corporate events and belonging engagements.
- Oversee event logistics and day-of execution.
- Collaborate on culture and belonging events globally.
- Research vendors, manage budgets, support event recaps.
- Maintain event supplies inventory and manage shipping.
- Support programs for employee belonging and community-building.
- Coordinate culture moments, recognition, and social impact events.
- Partner with BRAVE Networks for inclusive programming.
- Maintain team SharePoint pages and engagement channels.
- Respond promptly to team inquiries.
- Align materials with company branding and messaging.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, HR, Event Management, or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting events, engagement programming, or culture initiatives.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work onsite in Sunnyvale.
- Support occasional after-hours events.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively.

Event Coordination & Logistics
- Serve as the primary contact for corporate events, belonging engagements, and overseeing logistics and day-of execution.
- Collaborate and support culture and belonging events across global offices to promote consistent, inclusive experiences.
- Research and coordinate with vendors, manage budgets, and support post-event recaps and follow-up.
- Maintain inventory of event supplies, manage shipping, and support general administrative needs for engagement activities.
Belonging, Culture & Social Impact Engagement
- Support programs and initiatives that strengthen employee belonging, connection, and community-building.
- Coordinate culture moments, recognition activities, and social impact engagement events across locations.
- Partner with BRAVE Networks and internal teams to amplify inclusive programming and experiences.
Branding & Communications
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date content on team SharePoint pages and engagement channels.
- Respond promptly to inquiries received through team inboxes.
- Partner with the Employer Brand and Communications teams to ensure all materials align with company branding and messaging.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, HR, Event Management, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting events, engagement programming, or culture initiatives.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work onsite in Sunnyvale and support occasional after-hours events.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets as set out below. Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable compensation and/or equity. We offer a competitive benefits package, including flexible time off, a comprehensive well-being program with two paid Wellbeing Days and two paid Volunteer Days per year, plus a three-week Work from Anywhere option.

SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:
Base Pay Range: 65,850.00 - 96,580.00 USD
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:
Base Pay Range: 51,825.00 - 76,010.00 USD
All other cities and states excluding those listed above:
Base Pay Range: 49,875.00 - 73,150.00 USD
