Join King, a leader in mobile gaming, as an Engineering Director. This pivotal role directs the engineering leadership across the Experience Optimisation organisation, one out of two departments within the Data/ML domain within Shared Tech, reporting to the VP of Engineering. You will lead a strong technical team, chartered with building key strategic capabilities for King in the ML space and support expanding our Data superpower.

Collaborating with the rest of the data/ml domain leadership team, you will help translate our strategic plan into high quality delivery plans that enables us to fulfill our mission. You will help evolve the engineering organization to efficiently implement the strategy, while also attracting and growing our top talent. Additionally, you will drive talent initiatives and process improvements that contribute to the overall success of the engineering organization in both Data/ML, Shared Tech and King.

Your role within the Kingdom

Technology & Strategy

• Develop and oversee the successful execution of Technology and Engineering strategies together with the Tech Director and Engineering Managers for the Experience Optimization Department.

• Oversee and enhance all aspects of the engineering lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding and performance management.

• Foster a strong engineering culture that supports development, recognizes achievements, and nurtures professional growth.

Leadership

• Lead, inspire, act as a role model, and grow a team of talented engineering leaders and technical staff to accelerate our game teams to deliver innovative features to millions of players globally.

Skills to create thrills

• Hands-on experience in the machine learning space. Experience from personalisation efforts is a big plus.

• A good understanding of AB testing

• Strong technical background in software engineering.

• Proven experience in leading large-scale technical organizations (20+ people) within software development industries. Experience from leading leaders.

• Demonstrable ability to formulate and execute tech and engineering strategies that meet business needs.

• Exceptional people management, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within technical teams.
