Job Description

Be part of a diverse team developing custom silicon solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products. You'll contribute to the innovation behind products used by millions. Responsibilities include defining architecture for display processing units (DPUs), specifying display IPs, documenting hardware implementation, and performing trade-off analysis for engineering reviews and product roadmap decisions. The role requires expertise in ASIC display subsystem architecture and micro-architecture, and experience in direct-to-consumer electronics. You'll shape the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field
3+ years experience in direct-to-consumer electronics
ASIC display subsystem architecture and micro-architecture experience
Define DPU architecture and detailed specifications
Produce detailed documentation and trade-off analysis

Good to have:

Master's/PhD in relevant field
Experience in performance/power modeling for DPU
Display processing pipeline architecture experience
RTL design, ASIC architecture knowledge
Video timing, DSI, or DP interface experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of industry experience in direct to consumer electronics.
Experience in ASIC display subsystem architecture and micro-architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture.
Experience in performance and power modeling for DPU (Display Process Unit).
Experience with display processing pipeline architecture for hardware applications.
Experience in the RTL design, knowledge of ASIC architecture.
Experience in video timing, DSI (Digital Serial Interface), or DP (DisplayPort) interface.
