We’re looking to hire an Event Coordinator for a hybrid opportunity in El Segundo, CA. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with a global consumer products company known for its creativity, collaboration, and purpose-driven culture.
You’ll join the Corporate Events and Philanthropy team to support event planning, logistics, and administration for company-wide programs and initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a team that brings people together through world-class events and experiences.
Event Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Manage busy executive calendars and coordinate meetings across multiple time zones.
- Communicate professionally with internal and external partners via phone and email.
- Schedule recurring meetings and organize logistics for corporate events and trade shows.
- Process purchase orders, track invoices, and assist with budget documentation.
- Prepare and submit executive expense reports accurately and on time.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, including flights, lodging, and ground transportation.
- Support event planning and execution from concept through completion.
- Collaborate with C-suite assistants and cross-functional departments to ensure alignment.
- Provide back-up administrative coverage as needed.
Event Coordinator Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Hospitality, English, or a related field.
- 2+ years of administrative or event coordination experience, preferably supporting executive-level leaders.
- Strong multitasking and time-management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Canva.
- Calm under pressure, proactive, and team-oriented.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (2–3 times per year).
