Game Developer (Testing + Development)

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Game Developer responsible for the coding,testing and programming needed to bring our game concepts to life. Your role involves building, testing, and maintaining games from their initial concepts to distribution. As a Game Developer, you may take on various roles during different phases of game development, participating in conception, design, and production stages, either independently or as part of a team.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Create robust and scalable games and gaming software (Unreal Engine or Unity) any one of them.
• Develop game verification and validation plans
• Contribute to enhancing game coding practices through writing unit tests, automation, and participating in code reviews
• Collaborate closely with a diverse team of game developers, project managers, UX designers, system administrators, and analysts
• Oversee the development of game documentation, encompassing tests, analytics, and troubleshooting resources
• Introduce innovative ideas and concepts related to gaming technology, algorithms, and game products
• Troubleshoot game issues and proactively solve problems as they arise, ensuring the smooth operation of games and gaming software

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in game development, computer science, or a related field
• At least 3-5+ years of combined professional and academic experience in game development, with proficiency in Java, Python, C++, and other relevant languages
• Strong expertise in object-oriented design skills applied to game development
• Knowledge of version control systems such as GIT, SVN, and others relevant to game development
• Proven proficiency in design and documentation methods specific to game development projects
• Strong scripting skills and experience with test automation relevant to game development
• Familiarity with gaming engines, VR/AR development, and mobile game development
