Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney, Australia but we engage our Contractors all over the world to help us meet our crazy big goals. As a Contractor at Canva you can work remotely in Czech Republic, meaning you have ultimate flexibility. Wherever works for you, works for us. Please note, this is a 12-month contract with part-time hours, approximately 20-30 hours per week.

What you’d be doing in this role

You’ll be responsible for creating mockups—transforming photos into functional, realistic assets. This role requires strong attention to detail, advanced Photoshop skills, effective communication with the team, solid organizational abilities, and the adaptability to follow established processes. While working independently, you will also collaborate closely with the team to deliver high-quality mockups that align with our goals and meet user needs.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

• • Designing pixel-perfect mockups in PSD using the pen tool to create precise paths and realistic masks.
  • Applying blending modes for highlights and shadows, ensuring lifelike visual layers.
  • Retouching imperfections, whiten colorful products with adjustment layers, and enhance product visuals to create polished outputs.
  • Contributing to creating a strong foundation for our mockups, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards.
  • Continuously expanding our mockup library by designing new content, including previews for new Print products, while adhering to user needs and project goals.
  • Following established guidelines to maintain a consistent look and feel across all mockups.
  • Ensuring all designs are user-focused, functional, and realistic.
  • Communicating effectively with the team to align on expectations and address feedback.
  • Adapting to new processes and workflows to ensure seamless integration into the team’s production pipeline.

By building an extensive mockups library, we enable users to visualize their designs in real-world contexts, unlocking their creativity and broadening the scope of what they can achieve. Each mockup we create, especially for print previews, helps users confidently bring their designs to life, whether it’s for personal or professional projects. We’re looking for someone who can help us transform images into stunning mockups by creating realistic visual layers that enhance the overall user experience of our product.
