Purpose
We are seeking a proactive HR Business Partner based out of Chennai who will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, its plans, culture and market. Also, responsible for developing and implementing developing and implementing talent management strategies, policies, and programs that align with our company’s purpose and values, alongside which supports the business functions to meet organization objectives.
What you will be responsible for
HR Partnership
- Partner with business leaders to understand workforce needs and align HR strategies with business objectives.
- Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making on talent, performance, and organizational health.
- Support organizational change initiatives, including restructuring, role design, and capability building.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Promote a positive and inclusive creative culture that adheres to ethical guidelines, diversity standards, and values.
- Support DEI programs, mental health initiatives, and conflict-resolution in high-intensity work environments
- Drive engagement initiatives, employee feedback processes, and action planning.
Performance & Talent Management
- Support the performance management cycle—goal setting, mid-year reviews, final evaluations, and calibration.
- Identify skill gaps and support succession planning and talent development initiatives.
- Work with Learning & Development to design and deliver training programs for managers and employees.
Recruitment & Workforce Planning
- Collaborate with functional managers to fulfil hiring needs aligned with business priorities.
- Participate in interviews, talent assessment, and onboarding as needed.
- Support strategic workforce planning, including forecasting, capability mapping, and internal mobility.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure consistency and compliance with HR policies, labour laws, and organizational procedures.
- HR data accuracy, reporting (e.g., attrition, headcount, engagement metrics), and HRIS updates.
What we are looking for
- 4 – 7 years of HR generalist or HRBP experience, preferably in a fast-paced or matrix environment.
- Proven experience handling employee relations, performance management, and HR operations.
- Experience in partnering with mid-to senior-level leadership.
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
