Role Overview:

Reporting into the Director, Independent Partners Account Management, NA Independent Team Leader will directly lead and mentor the North America team of Account Managers. The NA Independent Team Leader will help set the culture and rhythm of business for the organization. Ensuring that all team members are engaged, and that accurate management practices exist to achieve departmental goals.

The NA Independent Team Leader will also work across teams to define and deliver agreed commercial and strategic objectives in the territory, and globally as required. Partner happiness is key, and as a primary point of contact for Partner’s regional teams, you will nurture trusted and preferred partner relationships. You are an evangelist for PlayStation, with the knowledge and ability to promote all aspects of the business and platform, discovering new opportunities and driving the business forward.

What you'll be doing:

  • Mentor and line manage assigned Account Managers Across North America.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day business activity and overall health of a small subset of the Key partners across the Americas regions.
  • Lead & handle several key PlayStation initiatives to better support our independent partners.
  • Coordinate and chair the Global Independent Partner Commerce Team, providing Global intel and knowledge to support the group in achieving its goals for the fiscal year.
  • Coordinate and lead all aspects of producing regular reports on the Global Independent groups' critical metrics, team health & performance, to present and discuss with the Director.
  • Act as a consistent evangelist for the PlayStation brand and PlayStation console services and features.
  • Work alongside the Director in aiding in the curation process of titles, that showcase PlayStation as ‘The Best Place to Play’!
  • Where applicable, ensure that partnership contractual requirements are adhered to by SIE and the Partner.
  • Ensure internal teams are aligned to deliver and support key content and initiatives.
  • Work with leadership to understand market dynamics, shifting consumer demands, and help prioritize and plans to meet future market needs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Partner’s portfolio, strategy and forecasts.
  • Identify and deliver content suitable for specific platform activity and campaigns (PS+, etc).
  • Identify Partner content to drive a PlayStation message and point of difference.

What we're looking for:

  • 8+ years in an external partner facing position (e.g. sales, account management, partner relations).
  • Excellent written and verbal Communication, presentation and relationship management skills at all levels.
  • Ability to work through change with both business and employee needs in mind
  • Robust Negotiation and facilitation skills.
  • Proven experience crafting balanced organizations and fostering positive team culture
  • Extensive games development and publishing experience, or comparable media / entertainment / technology industries.
  • Proficient in navigating the global market with foresight and critical thinking abilities
  • Domestic and International travel required

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$148,600 — $222,800 USD
