Intermediate Animator

ABOUT THIS POSITION
Animators are the backbone of this department. They are expected to consistently produce at the quality and output level determined by their production.

• Key Responsibilities:
  
  • Consistently produce animation at the quality and output level determined by their production.
  • Focus on strong fundamentals and high levels of polish in the shots assigned. 
  • Animate a wide range of shots including more complicated or technically challenging shots, or larger groups and crowd shots.
  • Has a solid understanding of show style and what it takes to get a shot approved. 
  • Receives shot approval quickly with minimally repeated notes.
  • Keeps scenes and workflows clean and organized.
  • Mindful of overall series notes.
  • Maintains scene continuity throughout the show not just within the assigned shots.
  • Problem-solves efficiently and communicates with the Lead or Supervisor when needed.
  • Communicate when larger issues are found in the assets.
• The ideal candidate will have:
  
  • At least 1 year of experience in Film, TV, videogame production or media equivalent
    
  • At least 1 year of Maya experience required
    
  • Completion of a Certificate/Diploma in Animation is an asset
    
  • Ability to work well in a team and excellent communication skills

The wage for this role represents a range across all of ICON’s Projects.  It is influenced by various factors, including job-related skills and experience.
