Job Description
About the Role
As an Organic Social Media Specialist, you will play a key role within our local commercial team, putting the brand in the spotlight and increasing our brand awareness and relevance through our social media channels. In close collaboration with Social Media Managers in other countries, you will contribute to developing and executing a results-driven social media strategy for Belgium, while ensuring alignment with our PR and marketing efforts. Your areas of focus will include content creation, online engagement, and platform management.
You will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer of Saxo Belgium, while also working closely with Saxo’s Global Head of Communications and the specialist SoMe team at our headquarters in Copenhagen, as well as the Belgian PR Manager and Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Social Media team to develop a local organic social media strategy aligned with Saxo’s brand and communication objectives
- Create, manage, and schedule engaging content across all relevant platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, and emerging channels
- Support both local and global communications teams by ensuring social media content is aligned with our marketing and communication activities
- Leverage organic social media to help achieve our ambitious marketing KPIs in terms of brand awareness, new client acquisition, new revenue, and marketing effectiveness (lowering acquisition costs)
- Monitor SoMe channels, analyse key metrics, and report on performance to identify areas for improvement
- Stay up to date with trends, tools, and best practices in social media to proactively drive initiatives that enhance Saxo’s social media presence in Belgium
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you hold a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree and have 1-3 years of experience in building and managing organic social media channels, ideally within a financial or corporate environment.
You have a solid understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and trends, and a proven track record in supporting the growth of social media engagement and producing creative, data-driven campaigns. Ideally, you also have experience developing a social media strategy and building a platform presence from scratch.
You are a curious, motivated, excellent communicator - both written and verbal—and thrive in collaboration with cross-functional teams. While experience with social media management tools is not essential, familiarity with Sprinklr is an advantage. Above all, you are passionate about storytelling, can produce content independently, have a creative flair, and possess a keen eye for high-quality content.
Dutch is your native language, and we expect excellent proficiency in English, as this is our internal language at Saxo when communicating with global colleagues. Knowledge of French is an additional asset.
We conduct interviews on a continuous basis, so send your application sooner rather than later.
