Job Description

As a People Operations Specialist, you will join the People Operations team to oversee compensation and benefits. Your role is crucial for Snappr’s growth, ensuring employees are well-supported as they help clients access on-demand photography globally. You will manage payroll, benefits administration, contribute to total rewards strategy, and handle vendor relationships.

Must Have:
  • Own the entire payroll function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Analyze, reconcile, and correct payroll and benefits discrepancies.
  • Facilitate employee enrollment in compensation and benefits platforms.
  • Orient and assist employees with benefit availment (leaves, HMO, loans).
  • Stay updated with local compensation, statutory, and taxation laws.
  • Act as a thought partner in designing Total Rewards Philosophy and Strategy.
  • Design and execute benefit and rewards programs aligned with company strategy.
  • Conduct regular compensation benchmarking and maintain job band structure.
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of employee benefit programs.
  • Act as the main point of contact for third-party vendors, ensuring SLA adherence.
  • Lead selection and transition to more effective payroll providers.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in administering payroll and benefits.
  • At least 1 year of experience in collaborating on C&B program design.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll procedures, HMO, government benefits, labor laws.
  • Clear communication and effective stakeholder management.
  • Great spreadsheet skills for data analysis, problem-solving, and project management.

As a People Operations Specialist, you will be challenged to join our People Operations team and oversee the compensation and benefits. Your impact on the team will be the lifeblood that powers Snappr’s explosive growth and enables our employees to be well taken care of as they help our consumers and enterprise clients access on-demand photography worldwide.

##### What you’ll do:

  • Compensation & Benefits Administration
  • Own the entire payroll function and be accountable for its accuracy and timeliness by working with leaders to resolve timekeeping discrepancies, reviewing payroll and government remittances computed by our accountant, and tracking additional payments (e.g., reimbursements, deductions, performance pay, referral bonuses)
  • Analyze, reconcile, and correct any discrepancies or errors related to payroll and benefits
  • Facilitate enrollment of employees into compensation and benefits platforms (e.g,. timekeeping and LMS software, payroll bank provider, HMO); Ensure that attrited or unqualified employees are removed from these platforms on time
  • Orient and assist employees in the availment of benefits such as leaves, HMO, loans, maternity, sickness, and government subsidies
  • Be up to date with local compensation, statutory, and taxation laws
  • Total Rewards Strategy
  • Act as a thought partner in designing a Total Rewards Philosophy and Strategy that promotes equity, attracts top talent, and motivates a high-performing culture
  • Design and execute benefit and rewards programs aligned with the company’s philosophy and strategy
  • Conduct regular compensation benchmarking and maintain an internal job band structure based on benchmarked data
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of employee benefit programs
  • Vendor Management
  • Act as the main point of contact for Snappr’s third-party vendors (e.g., Accountant, HMO Provider, Payroll SAAS Provider) and keep vendors accountable for maintaining SLAs*
  • Lead the selection and transition to a more effective payroll provider
  • *Our accountant currently handles payroll computation and disbursement, government contributions, and taxation. While the Benefits Specialist will not facilitate these processes, they are expected to ensure that these functions are performed with accuracy and in compliance with Philippine labor policies.

##### What you’ll need:

  • At least 1-3 years of experience in administering payroll and benefits, preferably fully owning the Compensation & Benefits function
  • At least 1 year of experience in collaborating with HR and management in designing and improving compensation and benefits programs and processes
  • Experience in using Sprout as a payroll software is a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll procedures, HMO administration, government benefits, and current labor rules and regulations
  • Communicates clearly and manages stakeholders effectively, especially when explaining payroll discrepancies, walking through compensation data, and proposing new compensation and benefits programs
  • Great spreadsheet skills to analyze data, solve problems, and manage projects
  • Strong knowledge of market salary ranges and familiarity with Total Rewards are bonuses
  • A "let's get it done" mindset
  • Should be willing to report 100% onsite in Ortigas
