The Job
The Product Manager I will provide product and project management support to the NCAA Digital product team. The Product Manager I will manage and support one to many platforms (handset, tablet, wearables) across NCAA and March Madness Live Products (March Madness Live, Men's Final Four, etc). This Product Manager I position will play a critical role in delivering live game streams for the Men’s D1 NCAA Tournament to millions of passionate fans.
The Daily
Participating in ideation, writing functional requirements and test plans. Responsible for operating products during key events, including the March Madness tournament. The Product Manager I will create regular product status updates related to builds, upkeep and tracking of the NCAA Digital product(s).
Product Strategy 35%
Collaborate with Product Managers and Senior Product Managers to inform roadmaps. Monitor industry trends and consistently learn/follow various businesses and industries including the NCAA, media/tv industry, app development and sports. Have a working knowledge of internal research and metrics as well as fan feedback. Propose product features based on fan input, research and strategy alignment.
Product Development & Testing 50%
Assist Product Managers and Senior Product Managers in managing relationships with internal development teams and third-party development partners for your product portfolio. This includes writing requirements and test plans. Participate in ticketing in JIRA and resolution of features and bugs. Provide input into operational plans maintained by Operations team. Product support and willingness and ability to jump in assist product and senior product managers with a range of duties to ensure high quality products.
Project Management Support 15%
Occasional project management duties for initiatives that do not have assigned project management support. Participate in the operations of all products during the March Madness Tournament. Occasionally present and communicate product plans, status and recap for various meetings keeping matrixed functional groups up to date on product portfolio.
