Job Details

FitXR is a fitness technology company working at the cutting edge of VR and MR, building a movement for movement.

We started life in 2016 in a garden shed in the UK. Today, we’re building FitXR, one of the top-downloaded apps on the Meta Quest store. We’ve raised close to $30m from top investors such as Maveron, Hiro, and BoostVC.

We've built a growing range of fitness studios, from box workouts with world-class trainers like Olympian Nicola Adams to immersive Zumba dance classes. While nothing compares to trying it yourself, you can watch a trailer here.

Our team is distributed across Europe and the US. We’re guided by our Principles of Play: four core beliefs about how we treat each other and our community. We make space for every voice, believe in the importance of a learner’s mindset, and prioritize team success over individual glory.

FitXR is available on Meta Quest 2 & 3 and has been downloaded by over a million people worldwide and featured in Forbes, Empire, T3, Washington Post, Men's Health, GQ and more. In 2022, FitXR ranked 6th in The Information’s 50 Most Promising Startups.

TLDR

We are looking for a Production Manager to manage the delivery of our ambitious Experiential Marketing calendar. Amongst others, the largest deliverable for this role is to manage the planning and execution of a vehicle-based, roaming experiential marketing campaign that will visit multiple cities around the USA over a multi-month period.

This is a high-impact role with the ability to lead the campaign planning process, as well as work closely with multiple stakeholders inside and outside of the organisation; most importantly our marketing, product and commercial teams.

Please note - this role requires extensive travel, requiring being away from home for prolonged periods of time. Whilst rota planning will be your responsibility, this role will require frequent weekend and evening work.

Where you’ll spend your time

Pre-Production:

  • Develop a detailed project plan outlining timelines, budget, staffing needs, and deliverables.

  • Secure all necessary permits and approvals for the vehicle route and event locations.

  • Finalize the proposed route for the activation, considering city regulations, target audience locations, and logistical feasibility.

  • Engage with local experiential staff agencies to hire staff for each location.

  • Develop and implement training briefs for all staff involved in the activation.

Production:

  • Supervise the set-up and breakdown of the touring vehicle each day, with a focus on the technical set up of VR equipment and content capture devices.

  • Manage all staff, agency and in-house, to ensure smooth running of the executions.

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols during events, including effective queue management in public spaces.

  • Monitor inventory levels of supplies and giveaways, and manage replenishment as needed.

  • Address any unexpected issues or problems that arise during the activation.

Post-Production:

  • Gather feedback from staff and participants to inform future activations.

  • Generate a final report summarizing the project's effectiveness and outlining key learnings.

  • Assist with dismantling any temporary installations on the bus after the activation is complete.

We’d love to see from you

  • MUST HAVE previous experience of managing live touring experiential activations or events; ideally vehicular-based.

  • Availability to travel across the USA for prolonged periods (specifically between September - December 2024)

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project management or event production.

  • Proven ability to develop and adhere to project budgets and timelines.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Experience working with vendors and contractors to ensure successful project execution.

  • Clear Criminal Background Check for dealing with minors and/or vulnerable people.

Our mission is to make the world a healthier place with the world's most loved fitness product: to create a Movement for Movement. To build inclusive products, we need to build an inclusive team. Please know that this list is indicative and that we would still love to hear from you even if you feel you only are a 75% match. Skills can be learnt, diversity cannot. We promote a diverse and inclusive culture at FitXR.

Logistics 🛠

Our interview process takes place on Google Hangouts and tends to consist of the following stages:

  • Interview with our Director of Partnerships

  • Founder / Exec interview

Some roles will have extra stages but we’ll let you know as early as possible if so.

Please let us know if you require any accommodations for the interview process, and we’ll do our best to provide assistance.
