Job Description

The Project Manager for Marcom LA at Apple will steward project schedules and workflow for Apple's rapidly-growing Services sector, including Apple Music, App Store, and Apple Pay. This role involves running key creative initiatives, tracking project status, and managing brand project timelines. The Project Manager will ensure effective communication between creative and production teams, global Marcom stakeholders, and the wider Apple organization. Key responsibilities include owning the delivery and oversight of Marcom LA’s campaign calendar, presenting prioritization and milestone status to leadership, and managing new briefs with action plans, capacity awareness, and budget restraints.

The Project Manager stewards project schedules and workflow throughout the group and deeply values the creative process. You will run key creative initiatives across the creative studio, tracking project status and brand project timelines. And critical within the PM role is ensuring effective connection and communication between creative and production teams, our matrix of key stakeholders across global Marcom and the wider Apple organization, in order to keep the work moving forward. This role will own the delivery and oversight of Marcom LA’s campaign calendar across a selection of Services Lines of Business. Presenting prioritization, and milestone status to leadership with an informed point of view for project tracking, new briefs with action plans, awareness of capacity, and any budget restraints that could impact delivery.

  • Closely partner with Brand Managers, driving on driving priorities and delivering the annual and quarterly roadmaps, by line of business. To collaborate and advise on potential and actual capacity challenges or talent roadblocks.
  • Communicate and drive campaign delivery from start to finish. From project conception and approval, to strategic development, creative development, and right through to production.
  • Work with our Global Creative Directors and their creative and design team to define concepting process and structure of reviews, specific to project needs.
  • Managing project workflow logistics: set-up, communication, disclosure lists, folders, logistics calendars and confidential work spaces.
  • Facilitate creative reviews and all connection points including scope, attendees, location, facilities, materials. Ensure that updates are shared with partners and that project materials are collected and archived.
  • Build and foster a critical relationship with Resource Management. To collaborate and advise on potential and actual capacity challenges or talent roadblocks.
  • 10+ years experience as a Project Manager, as part of a dynamic team within a creative organization, advertising agency or in-house marketing communications team.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills with ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels, including executive leadership.
  • Experience managing the end-to-end creative workflow, including internal briefings, briefings to vendors/studios, managing key milestones/deadlines, presentations and internal approvals.
  • Previous experience partnering with cross-functional teams, and internal partners for delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across mediums.
  • Knows when to forge ahead or hold back, all the while understanding how to focus and simplify.
  • Possess an innate ability to be the calm voice in pressurized situations, always applying a common sense and respectful approach.
  • Has the ability to organize information quickly and at a high level to address potential roadblocks and define the best way forward.
  • Has deep cultural curiosity and connectedness, including extraordinary communication and negotiation skills.
  • An inventive and enthusiastic problem solver, at ease with working in a dynamic, highly matrixed organization.
  • Understanding with applications including Mail, Numbers, Keynote, Pages, and Calendar.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $173,500 and $260,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
