About the job

The Senior Games User Researcher will be responsible to improve the execution efficiency of user research in the Southeast Asia region and expand local resources. To provide a more localized perspective and insight of the game market, audience information, and player experience of various countries in Southeast Asia.


Your Roles and Responsibilities

1. Cooperate with publishing teams in the SEA region independently to conduct in-depth research on different users from the dimensions of brand awareness, game behavior, entertainment preferences, and living habits. Be the project owner to conduct both qualitative and quantitative research. Efficiently answer business questions, and propose landing suggestions

2. Deepen the understanding of the local market and players and provide insights into the players and SEA markets to the publishing team and our user research team from time to time.

3. Collaborate with publishing team to understand research needs, and work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders including data scientists, insight team to probe deeper insights and promote the implementation and application of research results

4. Assist in organizing offline project execution in the SEA region, monitor the quality of execution. Organize offline qualitative research projects, control the research process, including but not limited to giving appropriate research design and research plans, and solve emergencies in the research process.

5. Expand existing recruitment channels, integrate player contact information both inside and outside the game, and optimize existing recruitment mechanisms

6. Manage overseas vendor resources, maintain existing vendors, and expand vendor resources


Our Expectation Towards Qualified Candidate

1. Bachelor/ Master's in Psychology, Social Science, Marketing or any related field.

2. Over 3 years of experience in user research/marketing research, have research experience in games or internet-related industry and have a deep understanding of marketing research and user research.

3. Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods, including but not limited to individual and group interviews, data analysis, etc. Have strong abilities in expanding resources of user research and promoting research coordination

4. Good communication. Be able to collaborate with the business side independently and promote the implementation of research results

5. Rich experience in cooperation with vendors. Has experience in evaluating suppliers and negotiating with suppliers

6. English and Indonesian can be used as working language. Able to conduct interviews, daily communication, report writing, etc. in English and can use Mandarin in communication. If you can speak one of the following languages, it would be a plus point: Indonesian, Filipino (Tagalog), or Malay.

7. Fan of MOBA games would be given an advantage.

8. Traveling for business trip required for this role.
