Overview

The Big Fish Games SDK provides the core foundational features for our games. This role covers the development and engineering of our publishing ecosystem for client authentication, compliance, telemetry, purchasing, and user acquisition attribution. It provides a consistent, compliant, and stable platform for mobile game development that actively supports our existing portfolio while accelerating all new game development. We collaborate with internal and partner studios around the world to publish the best casual games. The Big Fish Central Tech team is looking for a passionate and experienced engineer to take our SDK to the next level by updating the technology, improving development workflow, and extending functionality so game developers can spend more time focusing on making great games. The SDK consists of Unity C#, Android Java / Kotlin, iOS Objective-C/Swift, and is the backbone of all titles published by Big Fish Games.

What You'll Do

As a Mobile Applications QA Developer, you will work with a product manager, engineering manager, Dev team to validate the various functions of our Big Fish SDK for Android and iOS, ensuring that our portfolio of casual games is up to date in the stores and customers can continue playing. Our aim is to make automation the primary way we test and validate our SDK releases. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the technical direction for a world class SDK.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ Years in Mobile Application Testing: A proven track record in Android and iOS, highlighting your competence and readiness for new challenges on these platforms

  • 5+ years automating tests across unit, integration, system, functional, and non functional cases

  • 2+ years of Unity experience - our games are based on Unity and experience testing in that framework ensures a consistent developer experience

  • Test Frameworks - professional experience in using a variety of test frameworks to accomplish API and UI automation

  • Test case management - experience using Test Rail, jira, or other standard test case management and execution tools

  • IDEs and platform specific environments - professional experience working with Android Studio, Xcode, and/or Unity Editor

  • API Design & Integration: Knowledge of API design, integration and testing best practices (REST, SOAP)

  • Agile Experience: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, reflecting your adaptability in dynamic working environments

  • Have Shipped successful multiple mobile apps at scale on Google Play or Apple’s app store

  • SDLC & GitHub Experience: Understanding of the complete software development life cycle, including coding, testing, and deployment, with particular emphasis on the use of GitHub and GitHub Actions

  • Team collaboration - Experience with development and delivery in a remote and geographically distributed team

  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical summaries and priorities to technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent real world experience
