As a Senior Account Manager at North Strategic, you will lead strategic, creative programs for consumer lifestyle clients, focusing on execution and client service. This role involves managing integrated campaigns across PR, influencer, and digital, collaborating with senior leaders on strategy, and coaching junior team members. You will drive impactful outcomes by crafting compelling narratives, maintaining strong media relationships, and navigating integrated agency models with ease.
Must Have
- Manage day-to-day execution of integrated PR, influencer, and digital campaigns.
- Act as key project lead for fast-paced consumer lifestyle clients.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop strong plans and POVs.
- Experience with thought leadership, issues management, and corporate-led initiatives.
- Craft and edit a range of communication materials (press releases, pitches, executive messaging, social content).
- Maintain and grow strong relationships with Canadian media.
- Navigate large, integrated agency models with ease and confidence.
- Lead integrated campaigns spanning PR, influencer, and social.
- Serve as a trusted client lead, building deep relationships.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, delegating and providing feedback.
- Manage project budgets accurately and partner on forecasting and financial oversight.
- Post-graduate diploma in Public Relations, Corporate Communications or related discipline.
- 7-9 years of agency experience with a focus on media relations and influencer relations.
- Strong media relationships and Canadian media landscape knowledge.
- Proven corporate communications experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
- Skilled in PR/influencer/thought leadership event planning and logistics.
- Strong budget management capabilities.
- Familiar with the evolving Canadian media and influencer landscape and social media platforms.
- Knowledge of PR and/or influencer management platforms and evolving AI tools.

Overview
As a Senior Account Manager, you will be working as part of a dynamic account team in a fast-paced agency environment, developing and delivering strategic, creative programs for consumer lifestyle clients. Your job is to tell the client’s story and drive impactful outcomes, with a focus on program execution and client service excellence. Success in this role comes from your ability to partner and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, in addition to integrated agency partners.
We’re looking for a passionate team player with strong strategic thinking, organizational abilities and leadership skills. You’re a critical thinker who can create cross-channel strategies for our clients and coach junior team members. You’ve ideally worked in-agency before and know the ropes.
Responsibilities
- Campaign day-to-day lead: Manage day-to-day execution across multiple clients, leading integrated programs that may span PR, influencer and digital. Act as the key project lead role on fast-paced consumer lifestyle clients, confidently managing up and down to keep projects moving smoothly from ideation to execution.
- Creative strategist: Collaborate with senior leaders to develop strong plans and POVs, bringing curiosity, creativity and critical thinking to the table.
- Corporate comms: Bringing experience with thought leadership, issues management and other corporate-led initiatives.
- Narrative driver: A confident, strong writer and storyteller, skilled in crafting and editing a range of comms materials, from press releases to punchy pitches, executive thought leadership messaging, sponsored content, or social content, landing with impact for clients.
- Media relations pro: Maintain and grow strong relationships with Canadian media across consumer, business, lifestyle, financial services, insurance, grocery/retail and/or B2B beats. Bringing a keen eye on how to pivot or personalize outreach to reach program coverage goals.
- Integrated agency team lead: Navigate large, integrated agency models with ease and confidence, always considering and championing the role of PR and influencer in 360 program strategies and execution.
- Social and influencer savvy: Lead integrated campaigns that span PR, influencer and social into cohesive communications programs.
- Client management: Serve as a trusted client lead, building deep relationships and proactively driving smart, strategic programs forward.
- Coach and mentor: Lead junior team members with clarity and care, delegating, reviewing, and providing feedback while not hesitating to roll up sleeves to support when its needed. Contribute to North’s inclusive and positive agency culture.
- Budget and finance lens: Manage project budgets accurately and partner with senior leaders on forecasting and financial oversight.
Qualifications
- Post-graduate diploma in Public Relations, Corporate Communications or related discipline
- 7-9 years of agency experience with a focus on media relations and influencer relations
- Strong media relationships and Canadian media landscape knowledge
- Proven corporate communications experience
- Influencer strategy and program management expertise is an asset
