Job Description

Google Photos seeks a Senior Software Engineer (iOS) to design and implement new features, improve iOS architecture for scalability and reliability, and mentor junior engineers. The role involves working with other engineers to define and enhance the architecture, ensuring it's maintainable and efficient. Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions for Google Photos. The ideal candidate possesses strong iOS development experience, software design and architecture skills, and excellent communication and leadership abilities. Experience with video generation is a plus. This role is crucial for shaping the future of Google Photos.

Must have:

5+ years software development experience
3+ years iOS app development
3+ years testing/launching software
1+ year software design/architecture
Data structures/algorithms expertise

Good to have:

Technical leadership experience
Video generation experience
Excellent communication & leadership skills

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
3 years of experience with iOS application development.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with technical leadership.
Experience with video generation.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
