  • Performance Optimisation: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Optimise the game for the target platform to ensure a smooth and high-quality user experience.

  • Testing and Debugging: Conduct rigorous testing on the target platform(s) to identify and fix bugs, ensure stability, and maintain high performance standards. Utilise debugging tools and techniques specific to the target platform.

What We Value:

  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in multiple programming languages, such as C++, C#, and others relevant to game development and porting.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve platform-specific challenges and performance issues.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to adapting and optimising code, ensuring compatibility and high performance on various platforms.

  • Adaptability: Flexibility to work with different game engines, development environments, and platform-specific tools.

  • Passion for Gaming: Enthusiasm for video games and a commitment to delivering a high-quality gaming experience across all platforms.

You May Also Have:

  • Experience with Multiple Platforms: Prior experience porting games to various platforms such as consoles (e.g., PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch) and PC.

  • Great Communication Skills: Experience collaborating with teams in a modern hybrid working environment across multiple time zones.

  • Knowledge of Game Engines: Familiarity with popular game engines, such as Unity, Unreal Engine, and proprietary engines.

  • Graphics and Rendering Expertise: Understanding of graphics APIs like DirectX, OpenGL, Vulkan, and platform-specific graphics rendering techniques.

  • User Interface Adaptation: Skills in modifying and optimising user interfaces to suit different platforms and screen sizes.

What We Can Offer:

  • Hybrid Working Arrangement: Our office in Cardiff is located right in City Centre, just a couple minutes away from the Cardiff Central Train Station! As a member of our team, you’ll have the flexibility to work at home and collaborate with your fellow engineers in person.

  • Professional Development: We offer biannual reviews, as well as opportunities to collaborate across disciplines, internal tech talks, and the chance to learn from specialists with backgrounds from across the games and software development industries.

  • Work-Life Balance: We really believe that home life comes first and we promote a flexible working environment. And as an added bonus: We don’t crunch!

Office Perks: In addition to everything above, we also provide:
