As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will define and promote new power electronics products, addressing customer needs and market trends. This role involves developing innovative concepts, performing product-to-system validation, creating technical collateral, and engaging directly with customers for successful design-ins. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction, leveraging your in-depth knowledge of power semiconductor technologies and applications.

Must Have

  • Define technical specifications for future power electronics products.
  • Develop innovative product concepts.
  • Perform product-to-system validation and hardware design.
  • Create technical product collateral.
  • Support customers with design-ins and technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for business growth.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in semiconductor power electronics.
  • In-depth knowledge of power semiconductor technologies (wide-bandgap, discretes, modules, gate drivers).
  • Familiarity with PV, EV chargers, UPS, ESS, AI data center power, SSCB applications.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Proven stakeholder management and customer orientation.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

As our new Product Application expert, you will play a key role in defining and promoting new products that address customer needs and market trends in the power electronics industry. Your technical expertise will help us stay ahead in the rapidly evolving power management landscape.

  • Define technical specifications for future products by gathering insights from customers, market trends, and application requirements
  • Develop innovative concepts and ideas for new products and services
  • Perform product-to-system validation, including hardware design, system validation planning, and documentation
  • Create technical product collateral, such as application notes, whitepapers, and training materials
  • Engage directly with customers to support successful design-ins and resolve technical challenges
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated colleague to join our Chip and Discrete (CD) product line team.

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the semiconductor power electronics market
  • In-depth knowledge of power semiconductor technologies, including wide-bandgap, discretes, modules, and gate drivers
  • Familiarity with applications such as PV, EV chargers, UPS, ESS, AIdata center power, and SSCB
  • Excellent English skills and the ability to manage stakeholders in a global organization
  • A strong customer orientation and a proven track record of driving business growth

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, at least employment group H (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers additional employee benefits.
