This Senior Staff Software Engineer role at Google's Content Safety Platform requires extensive experience in software development, full-stack engineering (Java, Python, Go, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript), and system design and architecture. Must have:
  • 8+ years software development experience

  • Master's or PhD in CS/Engineering

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 7 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end (e.g., Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases), and front-end (e.g., JavaScript or TypeScript), or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages, including Java, C/C++, C#, Objective C, Python, JavaScript, or Go.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
  • Experience improving engineering productivity through process optimization and automation.
