Description

We want you to #JOINTHEREBELLION!

For 30 years we’ve been independently developing and publishing incredible video games at our multiple studios founded by Jason & Chris Kingsley, but Rebellion is more than just games. We have our own film and mo-cap studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd. Our recent acquisition of Blackshore, a leading global network, talent management and marketing agency, opens exciting opportunities for both businesses by bringing together two industry leaders who share a common vision to entertain.

Blackshore is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior YouTube Channel Manager to join our team!

The primary focus will be managing and scaling "The Security Breach Show," a franchise of six successful YouTube channels, including the "Sun and Moon Show" and the "Roxanne Wolf and Gregory Show." A successful candidate will empower our content creators, plan trendy viral videos, drive growth and profitability, and leverage the franchise's reach and resources to develop new channels.

In this role, you will attend weekly meetings and workshops while providing monthly email updates on performance, content, analytics, successes, challenges, future plans, and other management-requested information.

This is a full-time independent contractor position to be worked remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage teams of paid content creators and collaborate to plan, document, execute, and manage content ideas. You will also directly manage the Chief Editor, who is responsible for overseeing 7-8 editors.
  • Support the management of other contractors, including thumbnail artists, content producers, script writers, and voice actors, sourcing new talent as needed.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the six existing channels and create a strategic and profitable growth plan.
  • Identify, analyze, and monitor the latest YouTube content trends, and strategize weekly content for each channel.
  • Plan and execute viral videos.
  • Develop and implement templates and standards for video titles and thumbnails for each channel, and train relevant team members for execution.
  • Source, negotiate with, and onboard resources necessary for executing the growth strategy, including thumbnail artists, graphic designers, scriptwriters, voice actors, content creators, VTubers, Minecraft content producers, and Minecraft modders.
  • Work with the Chief Editor to ensure content quality and improvement across all channels, sourcing or trialing new editors when necessary.
  • Contribute to the implementation of Notion and other project management initiatives that support scaling teams and opening more channels.
  • Manage budgets and tracking profitability for new and existing channels.
  • Leveraging the reach and teams from existing channels and identify content opportunities for opening new channels.
  • Present ideas for new channels to management, and lead execution upon approval.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing successful YouTube channels and driving growth.
  • Strong understanding of YouTube content trends and strategies.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience in sourcing and managing a diverse team of content creators, editors, and contractors.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to present ideas and performance updates effectively.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Notion is a plus.
  • Ability to manage budgets and deliver projects within financial constraints.

About The Company

Founded in 1992, Rebellion is one of Europe’s biggest independent multimedia studios. Its flagship Sniper Elite series is renowned for its authentic stealth and sniping gameplay with more than 20 million players worldwide. 2000 AD is synonymous with the absolute finest in British comic book art. With the acquisition of a $100m film studio and the world’s largest archive of English language comics, Rebellion continues to go from strength to strength.

Rebellion now operates across books, comics, TV and film, but at its core it’s still a leading developer and publisher of games. Whether it’s the breathtaking intensity of Sniper Elite 4, the face-hugging terror of Aliens vs. Predator or the grindhouse frenzy of the Zombie Army series, the Oxford-based studio is revered for creating stand-out games designed to thrill.
