Job Description

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III for its Corp Eng team. This role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions critical to Google's internal operations. Responsibilities include writing code, participating in design reviews, code reviews, contributing to documentation, and troubleshooting system issues. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 2+ years of software development experience, along with experience with data structures and algorithms. Experience with accessible technologies is preferred. The position requires versatility, leadership, and the ability to handle full-stack development across various projects.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2+ years software development experience
2+ years experience with data structures/algorithms
Code writing, design reviews, code reviews
Debugging, troubleshooting, and issue resolution

Good to have:

Master's or PhD in CS
Experience developing accessible technologies

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

Write product or system development code.
Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
