Google is seeking a Software Engineer III, Full Stack, to contribute to the development and maintenance of next-generation technologies. This role involves managing project priorities, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and enhancing software solutions. Responsibilities include writing code, participating in design reviews, code reviews, contributing to documentation, and troubleshooting system issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong full-stack development skills (Java, Python, Go, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS) and experience with data structures and algorithms. The position focuses on building solutions critical to Google's needs, with opportunities for growth and project diversification.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years software development experience
- 2+ years experience with data structures/algorithms
- 2+ years full-stack development experience (Java, Python, Go, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS)
- Code writing, design reviews, debugging, documentation
Good to have:
- Master's/PhD in CS or related field
- Experience with accessible technologies
- Experience with Java, Go, or C++ backend development
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS frontend development

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, etc.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience in front-end, JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, or equivalent.
- Experience with back-end on Java, Go, or C++.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
