This role involves providing technical support and maintenance for Naval Electronic Warfare and Maritime Patrol systems at the Toulon naval base or Thales La Ciotat site. The engineer will be the primary technical contact for clients, coordinating corrective and preventive actions, analyzing technical issues, and collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure system reliability and performance. The position requires an engineering degree, initial experience in relevant systems, and strong technical knowledge in electronics and embedded software.
Must Have

Your daily life
The Brest site hosts our digital services activities as well as Thales' expertise in development, integration, and maintenance for maritime patrol and surveillance systems, electronic warfare, sonar systems, and airborne anti-submarine warfare, as well as our digital services activities.
Within the Electronic Warfare and Maritime Patrol Technical Support Engineering Department of the Customer Support & Service sector, a team of about twenty people, you will be the technical reference for Naval Electronic Warfare systems at the Toulon naval base and/or at the Thales La Ciotat site. Your main missions will be:
- Provide technical support and maintenance for Naval Electronic Warfare and Maritime Patrol systems.
- Be the privileged technical contact for clients and users.
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions in the factory and on site, in France and abroad.
- Analyze technical facts and define action plans to ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve technical issues.
Your profile
Is your priority to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance operations, in the factory and at client sites, on test benches, ships at quay and at sea, in France and abroad, to ensure the availability of the installed fleet?
Do you guarantee the performance of embedded systems?
Do you want to work on complex systems in relation with various clients, in France and internationally?
You have an Engineer degree or equivalent and have initial experience in development, IVVQ, or technical support of Naval Electronic Warfare or Maritime Patrol systems.
You have broad technical knowledge in:
- Microwave, analog, and digital electronics,
- Energy, cabling, communication buses,
- Embedded software.
Proficiency in spoken and written English, as well as mobility for short-term travel to clients, are required.
