Founded in Germany in 2013, the company is expanding globally, offering over 1,300 Tonies and 4,400 digital content items from 400 license partners. The Toniebox is a daily companion for children, used for about 270 minutes per week. tonies employs over 560 people and achieved a group revenue of 481 million Euros in 2024. The company is looking for a Working Student in Controlling & License who is passionate about licenses, accounting, and controlling, and wants to apply theoretical knowledge in practice.

Must Have

• Timely creation of international license statements considering varying calculation and form regulations
• Acting as an interface between license, accounting, and controlling teams
• Breaking down license costs to prepare for monthly accruals
• Checking and booking incoming invoices in the license context and creating creditor credit notes
• Supporting reporting to national and international collecting societies
• Ensuring clean documentation of work
• Supporting the controlling and license team in the planning and forecast process
• Currently studying, preferably in a business administration program
• High affinity for numbers
• Analytical thinking and ability to recognize connections
• Curiosity and quick comprehension
• Proficiency in Excel
• Fluent German skills
• Advanced English skills
• Availability up to 20 hours per week

Good to Have

• Initial professional experience, e.g., in internships
• Initial experience with Microsoft Business Central or another ERP system

Your tasks include:

• You will create international license statements on time, taking into account varying calculation and form regulations
• You will act as an interface between the license, accounting, and controlling teams
• You will break down license costs to prepare for the formation of monthly accruals
• You will check and book incoming invoices in the license context and create creditor credit notes
• You will support us in reporting to national and international collecting societies
• You will ensure clean documentation of your work
• You will support the controlling and license team in the planning and forecast process

What we wish from you:

• You are currently studying, preferably in a business administration program
• You may have already gained initial professional experience, e.g., in internships
• You have a high affinity for numbers
• You want to test your analytical thinking and your ability to recognize connections in practice
• You convince with curiosity and a quick comprehension
• You are already familiar with Excel and are not afraid to learn new functionalities; on the contrary – you enjoy getting to know and understanding new IT environments
• Ideally, you already have initial experience with Microsoft Business Central or another ERP system; if not, we will show you!
• You have fluent German skills and advanced English skills
• You have up to 20 hours per week available
