Your New Role…
The FINANCIAL ANALYST – THEATRICAL MUSIC ROYALTIES will be responsible for supporting timely and accurate reporting, payment, and analysis for Warner Bros. Discovery Studios, in support of the music royalties work stream. You will develop deep competencies in this area, providing business and finance stakeholders the required information for decision making.
Your Role Accountabilities…
Support the payment processing for music royalty payments from set-up through to payment as well as resolving questions from both external and internal interested parties.
Act as the primary point of contact related to audit requests for both internal audit as well as participant audits.
Create and maintain a tracking system to ensure the ability to quickly determine the status of all payments due to participants.
In coordination with department leadership, develop weekly plans for priority/focus areas and present to other department members to ensure internal alignment.
Set-up contracts in the Music Royalties system ensuring relevant data points are accurately captured.
Participant in stakeholder/P2P/WaterTower Music meetings as well any others which are required to successfully complete assigned activities.
Manage Ad Hoc analysis and financial data requests as needed, generating insights.
Demonstrate and maintain high standards of accountability to deliver superior quality financial information on timely basis to business FP&A.
Build strong relationships with business partner FP&A teams to enable the flow of information and knowledge sharing.
Support development of systems, tools, and processes to facilitate efficient and accurate forecasting and analysis.
Participate in process simplification initiatives. Collaborate across boundaries and share best practices with other FP&A teams.
Participate in meetings with business finance partners to understand forecast drivers and present prepared forecast and analysis data.
Qualifications & Experience…
At least 2 years’ experience in finance related positions.
Strong English verbal and written communication skills (must have).
Strong proficiency in excel and other data analysis techniques.
Critical thinker and strong problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to frame issues, articulate findings and present optimal solutions.
Proven ability to build confidence and trust with department members and external business partners.
Experience working accurately and efficiently with high volumes of data under strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications…
Solid understanding of entertainment business preferred (Royalties/Theatrical/Consumer Products/Games/TV Content Licensing/Home Entertainment Industry).
Accounting knowledge preferred.
SAP, Power BI, Power Automate experience preferred.

This role has primary responsibility for supporting accurate and timely payment of royalties stemming from Theatrical music soundtracks. The role manages end to end processes beginning with loading the contract in the system, setting vendor up in the system, ensuring payment, resolving questions from any stakeholder and ultimately providing support for both internal and external audit requests. 60%
This role, on a periodic basis, is interacts with other departments in the Finance function to ensure results of the activities are accurately reflected in WBD financial statements for both income statement and balance sheet presentation purposes. 25%
Support development of systems, tools, and processes to facilitate efficient and accurate analysis. Seek for constant process and routines improvements in the duties and task under its scope. Prepare ad-hoc analysis for FILM PRODUCTION AND MUSIC ROYALTIES FP&A Finance and Business Stakeholders. 15%
