The Compositing Supervisor at Phantom Fx will contribute to and manage a 2D library, conduct R&D on software/plugins, and organize workshops (at least 4 monthly). Responsibilities include mentoring team leads, fostering a healthy team environment, assigning artists to complex shots, contributing to training programs, identifying backup team leads, participating in bidding processes, and meeting with supervisors to discuss progress. The role also involves artist selection, communicating project updates, building team rapport, ensuring skill development, making decisions, handling difficult tasks, managing project timelines, and possessing excellent communication skills. The Supervisor will take end-to-end responsibility for projects.

Contributions to 2d library to be focused and making sure it’s effectively used in production.
R&D on new software /plugins.

Need to Train and promote the right senior artist/ artists to be a backup TL.
Involvement in different kinds of bidding (script based, cg involved show etc.)
Need to have a periodic meeting with the supervisor/other department supervisor to discuss various progress in achieving these targets.
Active participation in the selection of new artists.
Inform the team about changes and news related to the project.
