Job Description:

Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for an Principal UX Designer to join the development of a new IP.   
 
Feed your creativity while collaborating with our team of highly-skilled developers to build something innovative, exhilarating, and expansively entertaining! 
 
As a member of the gameplay department, you’ll design and implement solutions directing player’s experience. 
 

As a member of the project, you’ll help take the studio and our game from great to even better—with a focus on inclusivity, mutual respect (for ourselves and our players), thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration.  

 
You’ll help us by 

  • Taking the ownership over player’s onboarding to the game 

  • Guiding player’s attention and ensuring smooth user experience 

  • Designing and coordinating game’s visual, text and audio language  

  • Working with an in-house scripting language 

  • Collaborating with specialists from multiple disciplines 

 

You’re awesome because you have 

  • Significant portfolio of professional game industry experience 

  • Understanding of player’s psychology 

  • Experience with visual and object-oriented scripting 

  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills

  • The ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team 

  • Creativity in problem solving and a positive, respectful team-first attitude 

  • Organization methods and the capability to meet deadlines 

  • Comfort with self-critique and accepting outside feedback 

  • A habit of regularly playing and understanding modern video games 

 

Bonus points for 

  • Experience working with various development engines 

  • Advanced communication skills 

  • Enjoyment of playing a variety of video game genres and titles
