The ideal candidate will have experience in professional certification programming in a large organization, familiarity with exam development platforms, and strong communication skills. US citizenship is required.

We're looking for an experienced Certification Exam Program Manager to join our Zscaler Certification team.  You will manage the integrity, security, and operational quality of Zscaler Certification exams across our portfolio, along with the overall end-to-end activities for taking a certification to market. You will be responsible for exam development and maintenance. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Certifications, you'll be based in the U.S.-Remote and be responsible for:

  • You will be responsible for exam development and maintenance. 
  • Developing quality certification exams for the Zscaler Certification program by following best practices in legally defensible certification exam development, while adapting for our business needs and global audience.
  • Overseeing exam development activities, including JTAs, item development, standard settings, and exam refreshes.
  • Developing and implementing standardized processes for the exam development cycle and serving as an ambassador for our subject matter experts, including recruitment, relationship building, and ability to drive results related to exam development and reviewing exam performance and collaborating with psychometric resources. 

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Education or a related field.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to the nature of the customers assigned to this role.
  • 3+ years of experience in professional certification programming in a large organization.
  • Experience with exam development platforms and subject matter expert coordination.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Relevant experience in building and maintaining certification exams in the technology industry.
  • Experience with web-based exam development platforms and excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in high-growth technology or SaaS environments and foundational knowledge of psychometrics.

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range
$136,000$195,000 USD
